Bija is an independent coffee shop specialising in single-origin Indonesian coffee beans, located in the heart of St James’s Market, Piccadilly, London. We are dedicated to introducing the rich and diverse flavours of Indonesian coffee to London. At Bija, our priority is to provide exceptional coffee experiences, complemented by warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere for our customers to enjoy.

Role Overview: As part of the Bija team, you will play a crucial role in delivering a unique and memorable coffee experience to our customers. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about coffee, customer service, and contributing to the growth of a new independent business. Whether you’re leading the coffee-making process or assisting with daily operations and customer interactions, your role is vital to our success.

Position: Barista (Full-Time/Part-Time)

Responsibilities:

• Create and serve specialty coffee drinks with expertise in espresso, and other brewing methods.
• Demonstrate skill in latte art, adding an artistic touch to our coffee offerings.
• work cover all daily coffee shop operations, ensuring high standards of coffee preparation and customer service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee bar area.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and cleaned according to health and safety standards. *Engage with customers to share knowledge about coffee and provide a welcoming experience. *Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment   Requirements:  
• Previous experience as a barista, with a strong passion for specialty coffee.
• Knowledge of Indonesian coffee is a plus, but not required; training will be provided.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work full-time or part-time in early morning hours, including weekends and holidays/bank holidays.
