Job Overview

Volcano Coffee Works and Assembly Coffee, leading UK specialty coffee brands, rapidly expanding, are in need of a strong candidate for a critical leadership role overseeing and driving the production floor, end to end post roasted coffee to packing, fulfilment and dispatch.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fulfilment Manager to oversee our Fulfilment operations across D2C and B2B channels, ensuring the efficient management of our fulfilment processes.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of business processes, logistics, and LEAN sigma methodologies. This role requires excellent leadership skills, problem solving, familiarity with coffee product requirements, experience with freight forwarding and logistics companies and familiarity with ever evolving process and systems creation.

Key roles:

Identify and implement opportunities to scale and refine fulfilment processes, including automation and workflow streamlining, to support business growth and increased order volumes.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and care, developing the team’s capabilities to meet growing operational needs while upholding quality, sustainability, and customer experience standards.

Define and track KPIs to measure team performance, process efficiency, and operational outcomes. This includes building quota driven station metrics for packing and dispatch roles to meet output and optimise resource. Ensure team accountability across all stations, holding individuals responsible for meeting daily operational metrics and expectations.

Maintain Health & Safety and SALSA compliance records, working closely with the Production Manager to ensure readiness for audits and adherence to best practices.

Manage inventory of production consumables (e.g., tape, boxes, taste cards, stickers), including setting minimum stock levels, conducting weekly stock checks, and raising POs via the purchasing system.

Maintain high fulfilment quality standards, ensuring every order meets brand, packaging, and ethical sourcing expectations.

Manage and implement demand planning for all station performance output and efficiency metrics ensuring pack to shelf is maintained on quotas against demand to coordinate with fulfilment admin.

Ensure all role and responsibilities are in line with the tasks actually performed within the role.

Forecast and manage inventory to support growth, balancing anticipated demand with stock availability to minimise stockouts.

Be the first point of contact for all new product development and new product execution requests coming into production from commercial and brand teams.

Design all new systems to fulfil product creation and despatch inline with efficiency metrics and manage teams against hurdle rates.

Participate and report key metrics to leadership team for all roadblocks and wins for the production department.
