We are now looking for a Production Supervisor to join our team!
Role Objective:
The Production Supervisor will assist the Production Manager in ensuring that the internal operations of the Production Department run smoothly and work closely with the team to meet organisational expectations. The Production Supervisor will be proactive in problem-solving, and able to pivot and adapt frequently while maintaining compliance, quality, and safety controls.
Role Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Aid the Production Manager in planning and organise the production daily schedule, ensuring that production targets are met, and adjusting workflows as needed to optimise efficiency
- Lead the Production Team throughout the day
- Help to ensure relevant checklists are completed
- Responsible for keeping the production space clear and clean
- Support the Production Manager with their coordination of stocktakes, ensuring they are accurate and completed on time
- Work alongside the Production Manager to ensure that products and packing meet quality standards and specifications. This includes conducting inspections, implementing quality control procedures, and escalating any issues related to product quality with the Production Manager
- Help to identify training requirements and plan training accordingly with the Production Manager
- Communicate with various stakeholders, including the production team, managers, and other departments, to ensure that production goals and objectives are met
- Support the enforcement of safety protocols and provision of training to workers on safety procedures. Help to ensure that the team follows safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries
- Troubleshoot and find solutions when issues arise in the production process, such as equipment malfunctions or delays to keep production on track
- Ensure the Production Team has all necessary consumables
Key Skills:
- 2+ years of Production experience within a manufacturing and/or production warehouse environment, ideally within the food and beverage industry
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Clear and precise communication
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability while navigating daily challenges in support of the Production Manager and team
- A comprehensive understanding of all aspects of Health & Safety within a production environment
- Ability to inspire and motivate the Production Team and lead by positive example
- Problem-solving and seeking solutions to current or potential problems
- Capable of identifying areas for improvement and contributing ideas or input on how we can improve the efficiency of the department
Desirable Skills
- Full, manual UK driving license
- Counterbalance forklift license
- Customer service experience
- Basic knowledge of practical mechanics
